2026 WS review
We received a review from Ms. Matsumoto, the representative of Purple Dreams, who participated on both May 24th and June 28th.

The second workshop began with the call, "If you'd like, let's all the parents try it together!" Marching basic training, which tends to focus solely on skill acquisition, was transformed into a fun place for collaborative learning, with parents participating for the first time.
Looking back at the first workshop in Tokyo, the experience of sharing the sounds and movements of our dreams in the same space with wonderful community groups deeply moved the hearts of the participants. The opportunities for collaborative learning in divided groups, which took place in both workshops, was the time when the students' eyes shone the brightest. The communication and collaborative learning among members from different backgrounds created an unprecedented synergy, engraving the charm and emotion of marching into the hearts of the participants. I am full of gratitude for this precious experience.

This workshop was designed not just as a training session to learn techniques, but as a place to think together with everyone and actually test what kind of learning environment is necessary for future marching activities.
The JMBA Kanto Branch will continue to hold the Kanto Championship as an important event, just as we have done in the past. The competition is a valuable place where each group can present the results of their daily activities and inspire each other, and we intend to continue to cherish its value in the future.
On the other hand, the environment surrounding marching has changed significantly in recent years. Due to factors such as the scale and activity status of each group, the number of participating groups in prefectural tournaments, and the system supporting tournament operations, it has become difficult to continue in the exact same format as before.
That is why the Kanto Branch feels that, in addition to holding competitions, it is necessary to expand the value of marching activities themselves, support them, and connect them to the future. We believe that creating not only competitions and performance venues, but also places for learning that enrich daily activities, places where people can connect, and places where people can participate regardless of experience, is an important role required of the Kanto Branch from now on.
When we actually held the workshop, we gained many insights and achievements beyond our imagination. Although the participating groups and individuals had different positions and experiences, a desire to improve activities and grow together while respecting each other naturally emerged and spread.
People calling out to each other, teaching each other, and learning together across generations and affiliations. Players, instructors, and parents thinking from the same perspective, each becoming a leader in learning. Each of these actions shaped our theme of "connecting and learning together."
